Rijeka is the cultural center of the Primorje-Gorski kotar County and the third largest city in Croatia. This city is also the most important Croatian seaport. The Trsat Castle represents a strategically embossed lookout on a hill 138 meters above sea level. This 13th-century fortress offers magnificent vistas from its bastions and ramparts, looking down the Rječina River valley, the Adriatic and the distant island of Krk.
This Cathedral is the only Baroque rotunda of monumental dimensions built on Croatian land. It was built in 1638 by a Jesuits on the model of the famous Venetian church of Santa Maria della Salute.
Korzo is the main street in the heart of Rijeka city. The place where locals and tourist enjoy spending time, drink coffees. It is lined by beautify building, shops and cafes.
A symbol of Rijeka built in the Middle Ages. The building survived earthquake in 1750, and after the disaster The Habsburgs added the baroque decorations. The clock mounted in 1873 is still working.
